DescriptionBCI National is a general contractor with significant experience in ground up and tenant improvement projects. Projects are large roll-outs for large customers in the Retail, Hospitality, Banking and Restaurant fields. With an excellent background in construction management, general contracting, facility management and design-build construction, our blend of unique skills enables us to provide our clients with the highest level of value, quality, and speed to market.
Responsibilities• Assist in a wide range of tasks required for the management of an active construction project as listed below, and managing sub-tasks as assigned.
o Assist in creation, submission and follow up of project documents.
o Submittals, RFIs, Changes
o Assist with the coordination of contractors.
o Attend meetings including project design and planning, pre-bid, pre-construction award, job and progress meetings.
o Assist in the scheduling and supervision of required testing and monitoring results.
o Assist with punch-list and project close-out activities.
o Assist in bidding work.
o Developing bid list, bid invite, follow up calls.
o Assist in the review of design progress submittals and contractor qualifications.
o Assist in interpretation of contract plans, specifications, and construction plans.
o Assist in preparation of cost estimates, review of progress payments, and claims evaluation.
o Assist in evaluation of change proposals and in preparation of change orders.
o Assist in the preparation of daily field reports, notes, and meeting minutes.
o Assist in the scheduling and supervision of required testing.
o Assist with the coordination of contractors both daily and through a two week look ahead.
o Assist Field Representative in inspection of construction work.

Requirements1. Completion of sophomore year in engineering, architecture, construction management, business, or related program.
2. Understanding of construction terminology.
3. Ability to read drawings
4. Goal oriented and capable of working independently.
