DescriptionThe Chicken Coup Studio is a small production space with a 2400 sf flex-use production studio, a 32'x23' cyclorama wall, lighting/grip package, misc production equipment & an array of rental flats. The studio is within a 7400 sf creative complex which has a 3000 sf fabrication shop, a number of private & shared studios, an open office/conference room, & a shared kitchen; hosting a wide range of talented filmmakers, artists, builders, designers, & visionary creatives.
The Chicken Coup is seeking smart, enthusiastic & dedicated interns to work in a fast paced environment to assist in the development, management & marketing of our flex-use production space - in exchange for college credit.
Ideal candidates are focused, fast learners, construction savvy, have strong building skills and on-set experience. Electric Vehicle, Welding, and Fabrications experience would be a huge plus.
ResponsibilitiesDuties include assisting lead fabricator and project manager with building fun, creative projects in the realm of sets, props, prototypes, and custom vehicles.
Interns will be supervised by the studio owner who is a seasoned art director, artist & community builder. Chosen candidates will be working alongside a talented and hardworking team, most of whom are production veterans.
Day to day responsibilities of this Internship are unpaid, for college credit only. Interns must provide a school letter verifying that internship course credit will be received for the internship. All letters are verified.
Hosting company will provide gas reimbursement & meals. Qualified interns are eligible for PAID commission based on successful studio bookings. Additional perks can be earned, such as use of production space, cyclorama wall, gear & equipment for your personal projects within the studio, as well as referrals to work on a variety of productions outside of our studio.
Must be available to work 10-15 hours/week (somewhat flexible schedule) and commit to at least 10 weeks at a time.

RequirementsMust be currently enrolled at least part-time at a local accredited college, and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. You will need a letter from your school verifying ability to get credit for our program.
This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, persistence, a passion for creative thinking and fabricating, to produce professional quality results. The candidates must take direction well and be excited to learn from some fun professionals.
