DescriptionWe are a commercial low-voltage cabling company based in Austin, Texas that installs structured cabling systems: Fiber Optic - Copper - Audio - Paging / New build and Remodel Environments
Successful candidates will have a solid working knowledge of commercial structured cabling installation and some experience with basic network configuration and troubleshooting. This candidate should be comfortable with every aspect of the cabling process on a commercial structured cabling installation including IDF/MDF rough in and trim out. Candidates must be able to follow strict cabling standards ad adhere to TIA/EIA cabling practices. Candidates should also have experience in meeting job targets and management of labor/materials usage.
An ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Two or more years of verifiable experience in the installation of voice/data structured cabling systems in commercial structures.Ability to work with and/or take direction from customer/clients in a professional manner.Ability to build and dress network racks including backboard mounted equipment and ability to perform basic configuration in a standalone capacity.Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to efficiently solve problems associated with cabling pathways and job site related issues.Experience with network troubleshooting including but not limited to swapping out faulty hardware, troubleshooting ports, verifying and configuring IP addresses and other network information.Ability to complete project tasks with minimal supervision.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience using laptops to interface with various networks or network equipment both remotely and onsite.
Minimum Qualifications are:
Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.No restrictions to daily drivingMeans of reliable contact via phone or email.Ability to work a flexible schedule. Days, Nights, Weekends.Ability to work out of town. Lodging and daily Per-Diem provided.Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Pay ranges between $12 and $20 per hour depending on experience.
