We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial/Organizational Consulting Intern to work with one of the most respected survey research firms in the industry. Overall, this person will be partnering with the Senior Consultant to conduct SPSS analysis, perform QC procedures, and deliver critical analysis of client data. Basic knowledge of SPSS and Excel required, advanced knowledge preferred.

Industrial/Organizational Consulting Internship Description
o 20 hour week school year internship program (possible up to 40) to introduce students to employee survey research and practice
o Pay $25 /hr
o 1 internship position will be filled
o Location: San Jose, CA

Responsibilities

Internship Duties and Details
• Skill Development, in the areas of:
o Survey research methods
o Multivariate data analysis
o Literature review
o Business and academic writing
o Presentation skills
o Project management
o General business acumen
• Project Support Duties
o Conduct SPSS analysis and development of supporting code
o Perform quality assurance
o Assist in the preparation and conceptualization of Executive Presentations of results and analysis
• Research Duties
o Conduct background research related to attitude surveys and constructs of interest (e.g., Employee Engagement, Employee Life Cycle, etc)
o Collaborate on SIOP papers and symposia as needed
• Mentor
o Each intern will be paired with a Consultant
o Mentor will be primary contact and responsible for: Directing work, Providing Mentoring/Training, Weekly/Biweekly 30 minute meetings

Requirements

Student Requirements:

Education:
o Ph.D., en-route; 2 or more years of study completed
o Advanced Masters level will be considered
o Psychology, Business, or related Major Undergrad preferred
o Successful completion of at least 1 graduate level Statistics class
