Ortega Group (www.theortegagroup.com) is a startup consulting firm founded by former Amazon retail buyers/managers. We have clients both large and small in categories like sports, mobile, consumer electronics, outdoors, home and more. As a startup, we're focused on helping our clients grow their eCommerce business, but doing so using all the latest technology. We have a quintessential startup culture -- we wear jeans and sneakers to work and we're okay if you want to work from home some days or take off early other days (as long as you’re getting your work done and delivering results).

ResponsibilitiesAs an intern you'll get to work on real projects that can be seen on the biggest eCommerce sites on the planet. You'll get a chance to work on strategy, pricing, marketing, financial analysis, customer analysis, and graphic design. You'll also gain applicable skills that will be useful for the rest of your career like, strategic thinking, Excel data modeling, executive communication, pay-per-click ad campaigns, interview skills, and the basics of web development. If there's a skill that you want to learn, we probably have a project where you can get better at it.
RequirementsWhat We Require:
- Background in Sales, Retail, Marketing, or Finance
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Flexible and can deal with the fast-paced startup environment
