Description

Institute for Development Impact (“I4DI”) is a consulting group comprised of results-oriented
experts seasoned across all development sectors. With our broad-based expertise, we provide
tailored, high quality program and organizational effectiveness consulting services, covering the
entire project cycle from conception to implementation and evaluation.
We provide technical assistance and analytical support to development programs and
organizations all over the world. For over three decades, the experts who make up I4DI have
provided government agencies, multilateral institutions, and non-governmental organizations
with evidence-based development solutions. I4DI’s roster of experts is of the highest caliber and
comprises our expertise in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), program design, education, civil society, policy, capacity development, gender, and environmental sustainability, among other
sectors.
Catalyzing positive impact by leveraging applied research and practical technical solutions, I4DI
crafts innovative approaches catered to the client’s needs. I4DI promotes evidence-based
discourse and development industry learning through specialization in three extensive areas of
expertise:
• Organizational Effectiveness – Helping clients create and sustain an organizational
environment with harmonized systems and processes that engage their people, enabling
high performance and continuous improvement.
• Program Effectiveness – Generating knowledge to increase program effectiveness and
innovate practice. We provide M&E services that help organizations understand how well
they design, plan and implement development programs, while setting the course for
improvement.
• Social & Environmental Impact – Sustaining positive impacts by integrating social and
environmental analysis with how programs and organizations engage in the development
process.
• Organisational Effectiveness – Helping clients create and sustain an organisational
environment with harmonized systems and processes that engage their people, enabling
high performance and continuous improvement.
• Programme Effectiveness – Generating knowledge to increase programme effectiveness
and innovate practice. We provide M&E services that help organisations understand how
well they design, plan and implement development programmes, while setting the course for
improvement.
• Social & Environmental Impact – Sustaining positive impacts by integrating social and
environmental analysis with how programmes and organisations engage in the development
process.

We are looking for talented, hardworking and motivated interns to support our teams with literature review, analytical work and communications materials (social media and design). The Fall team of interns will be with us through mid-January (possibility of extension). Each intern will have an assigned mentor to help them navigate through hands-on application, individual/team projects and an overall experience.

Responsibilities

Literature reviews
Data processing and visualization
Development of social media communication materials and blogging
Development of pamphlets and marketing materials
Support expert teams on analytical and technical work
Support teams with accounting and expense reporting

Requirements

A team of individuals that posses some of the following experiences is sought:
Adept at conducting literature review and desk based research
Expertise with social media, blogging and communications
Experience with putting together power point presentations and marketing materials
Good graphical design (charting, graphing and data visualization) skills preferable
Experience with info-graphics and ability to produce simple yet captivating data visualization
Experience with conducting statistical data processing and interpretation
Experience with qualitative research methods and analysis
