DescriptionThe Mesa Police Department is currently recruiting for college interns! Internships are available to students who would like gain practical experience in a cutting edge municipal police environment along with obtaining college credit. In return, our department has the opportunity to utilize student’s diverse background and exceptional talent from within the colleges. Positions are available in the Victim Services, Crime Analysis, Forensic Services, Criminal Intelligence, Crime Prevention and Patrol Support.
ResponsibilitiesInterested candidates complete the application/background questionnaire on the Volunteer in Police Service website and mail to the MPD VIPS Office at PO Box 1466 Mesa, Arizona 85211.
RequirementsStudent must be 18 years or older.
Although these are non-paying internships, the experience students will be gaining is priceless! Successful completion of a background investigation (including polygraph exam, fingerprinting, and drug screen) are required as student will be handling sensitive information and may have potential contact with victims.
