DescriptionThe Tukwila Pantry is a non-profit food bank and has been established to serve the residents of the city of Tukwila, SeaTac and Boulevard Park in a humane and dignified way with their emergency food and other referral needs. The Tukwila Pantry is committed to provide food for those in need and educate the community on issues surrounding hunger. The Tukwila Pantry provides food distribution 3 days per week and a hot dinner once per week. On average, 400 families per week receive food assistance.
• Prepare weekly meals for approximately 50-100 members of our community
• Comfortably work as the kitchen lead and delegate kitchen tasks to a small group of volunteers who will help with preparation
• Flexibility working with ingredients and improvising when necessary
• Responsible for providing nutritious, safe, and appealing meals
Days and hours:
Tuesday 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Minimum time commitment required of volunteers: 10 weeks
