Description

Summary:

The Foodservice Manager manages daily operations of the retail dining center. Responsibilities include supervising staff, inventory control, cash handling, POS system, customer service, enforcement of company policies, cleaning/sanitation and food safety in accordance to company, local, state and federal guidelines. Prepares, presents and serves food in dining center and for caterings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Helps prepare and cook foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods and desserts. Helps prepare and deliver catering orders.
•Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
•Operates and cleans equipment, utensils and work area per departmental procedures.
•Responsible for inventory control by maintaining par levels and utilizing FIFO.
•Communicates any problems to appropriate personnel.
•Supervises foodservice staff.
•Follows food safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
•Completes all required documentation, reports and logs as required.
•Performs and trains cashier duties using the POS system. Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
•Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
•Responsible for meeting set departmental financial goals/budgets.
•Assures compliance with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations, as well as departmental sanitation procedures.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Experience managing and supervising employees.
•Experience in foodservice retail.
•Food safety knowledge. Servsafe Certification is required.
•Ability to assists in creating menus and to enforce recipes to be followed.
•Ability to work standing for full shift. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
•Food protective attire must be worn (hair nets, gloves, beard nets, uniforms, aprons).
•Customer Service skills. Will be initial contact for client.
•POS and cash register skills.
•Able to work with a team and independently depending on the task assigned.
•Subject to a background check, pre-hiring drug test and random drug screening throughout their time of employment.
•Ability to work as needed in cold temperatures: (Coolers: 35°F to 40°F / Freezers: -10°F to 0°F)
