DescriptionSanta Monica based entertainment company (Film/Animation/TV/Theme Parks) seeks Development Visualization Intern to start immediately. Founder/owner of the company has produced box-office smash hits such as Mortal Kombat, Terminator 2 and True Lies, as well as award-winning animation including The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Marvel Superheroes 4D and LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out.
We need extremely bright and motivated students who are available at minimum 2 days a week, between the hours of 10 AM and 7 PM onsite at our Santa Monica, CA studio. Students will work directly with key staff of the studio, including receiving direct guidance and instruction from producers who are developing new film, animation, TV and theme park projects for the worldwide market.
ResponsibilitiesThis is a design internship -- a very strong portfolio is required. Intern will assist in lookdev for new projects, working closely with the pre-development team and executive producer team. Intern will be learning how to execute design tasks for pre-development of film, TV and theme park projects, including creating renderings and pitch decks. Intern will concentrate most of their work on one industry area (TV, film or theme parks) and will submit a portfolio for a comprehensive review at the end of the internship. Duties may also include errands (ex. answering phones).
RequirementsSerious applicants only.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (ex. Word, Excel) and the Adobe suite of design software. Knowledge of Maya is preferred.
Must have a desire to learn how new projects in film, animation, TV and theme parks are developed.
Must have a very strong portfolio of design work.
Fluency in a second language is preferred.
