DescriptionThis is a unique opportunity for a young ambitious graphic designer or photographer with adobe software knowledge. A position has opened up to manage one of our largest Real Estate clients marketing direction.
The new team member will be a trusted resource that works directly with our clients and collaborates remotely with the Studio’s Creative Director(s). Although we prefer a graphic design background, due to the photography/video workload, we are considering photographers who know more than just photoshop. Video editing software such as Premiere Pro/After Effects can be learned on the job. However each applicant should have an advance level of knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, and Intermediate level of knowledge in Illustrator.
Apart from the photography and video portions of the job description the Art Director will be responsible for the upkeep of our clients website(s), adding new graphics, images, blog posts (we have a copywriter don’t worry), etc… If you are not familiar with Wordpress databases or working with Wordpress sites we are willing to once again train you on the job, but a basic understanding of standard (UI) User Interface symbols and interaction is a MUST.
You will be working side-by-side for the first 1-2 months with your Creative Director until you get a handle of the day to day responsibilities. We are not looking for production artists who are happy and complacent in there career. Considered Candidates will show a desire to progress in their career as a Graphic Designer. You will learn enough at this job to become a Creative Director within 2-3 years. It is our hopes for this position to continue growing strong team members and potential partners at NewStream studios (i.e. - you learn your craft, you train someone to fill your old position, you move on to bigger projects).
Qualified applicants MUST have a portfolio website. If you do not have one, then make one really quick and apply when your ready.
Requirements- (1-3 years of experience as a commercial graphic designer or commercial photographer. Owning a nice camera or copy of photoshop does not make you a commercial photographer or graphic designer - working for an agency or studio does)
- Software Experience - Adobe Photoshop (advanced), Illustrator (Intermediate), Premiere Pro (novice-intermediate), After Effects (novice-intermediate), In-Design (novice-intermediate)
- Web Experience - Basic HTML and CSS (you will be working with a Wordpress websites)
- Work on-site 40 hours a week (35 hrs is devoted to clients work, and we reserve 5 paid hours a week for you to work on personal projects)
