Description

Put It Together LLC, is a small interior design firm that has been in business for 35 years with a focus on residential interior design. While we do extensive design projects we also do many smaller projects with a focus on window treatments, reupholstery, flooring, carpets, area rugs, and floor plans. We do have 8 rooms of upscale designer consignments and antiques that we place in client's homes or sell to non design clients as well. The business is very busy and I need a deign student or someone with a design or art background that is knowledgable and bright and eager to learn more about the business of design. The candidate must be outgoing, friendly, self assured, professional, and computer literate. The business is a retail shop and working 1 - 2 Saturday's is a requirement, but there is flexibility and regard to the candidate's personal social plans.

Responsibilities

Meeting clients and reviewing their projects, with me, the lead designer. Coordinating fabrics, and elements needed for each client's project, with my direction and following up on each phase of the design for the client. Reviewing the client's projects with me and following up on deliveries coordinating installations and possibly delivering or picking up orders. We do have an extensive design library on the premises but also do research online with our design resources.

Requirements

A degree in interior design isn't required. However, if the candidate is currently taking classes in interior design or has taken interior design classes in the past with the ability to do floor plans and understanding color, scale, and combining fabric patterns is necessary.
