The Green Economy is a business to business publication helping companies transition to a more energy, water and transportation efficient economy. Associates edit and post articles on website, and distribute through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and others.

Our design associates work with senior management to develop graphic materials--cartoons, illustrations, video and infographics for our articles.

Duties: Generate editorial cartoons and drawings that speak to sustainability and climate change issues for TGEink. Research to find relevant issues and topics for depiction. Work with senior management to continually refine and develop outreach strategies and materials. Develop strategies for existing sites and/or new approaches to expand readership.


Must be able to work 10 hours a week, some of which must be at our Princeton office. Will be responsible for working with senior marketing/business development and editorial staff to develop and implement strategic objectives. Should also have access to a computer with the necessary programs to complete work when not in our office.


Requirements: Excellent design, illustration or other skills. A desire to learn, working with senior management, to develop unique materials. All work is attributed to designer. We have worked with cartoonist to develop books for sale on-line.

Will learn: Develop important graphic and communications skills useful the public and private sectors. Ability to stay focused on a task, keep senior management informed of progress and be able to help in identifying roadblocks. Wit, humor is a big plus. Will also learn Drupal, a content management system, much like WordPress, that is fast becoming the preferred platform for Universities, nonprofits and large corporations.

Preferred - Social Media, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator
