The Green Economy, now, is a publication helping businesses respond to the risks and opportunities in adapting to and mitigating climate change. We cover finance, policy and technology. Our design associates help us to develop cartoons, illustrations, info-graphics and other design and art elements that bring life and engagement to our site, and that help readers understand complex concepts.

Duties: Generate editorial cartoons and drawings that speak to sustainability and climate change issues for TGEink. Research to find relevant issues and topics for depiction. Work with senior management to continually refine and develop outreach strategies and materials. Develop strategies for existing sites and/or new approaches to expand readership.


Must be able to work 10 hours a week, some of which must be at our Princeton office. Will be responsible for working with senior marketing/business development and editorial staff to develop and implement strategic objectives. Should also have access to a computer with the necessary programs to complete work when not in our office.


Requirements: Good drawing and/or sketching experience, plus excellent communication skills, persistence and a desire to learn.

Will learn: Develop important graphic and communications skills useful the public and private sectors. Ability to stay focused on a task, keep senior management informed of progress and be able to help in identifying roadblocks. Wit, humor is a big plus. Will also learn Drupal, a content management system, much like WordPress, that is fast becoming the preferred platform for Universities, nonprofits and large corporations.
