Global design firm - BLUMA PROJECT is looking for a self-motivated and creative intern to help with all aspects of sample making and office work. In the Brooklyn studio, we develop jewelry, knit and bag designs for groups in Peru, India, Guatemala, and the Philippines and distribute them to stores such as Anthropologie, Free People and abc home. You will learn the skills behind beading, knitting, textile design and more. This is a great opportunity to work within a small team to really see how this type of business works, while helping to build sustainable income for artisans around the world.

Looking for part-time or full-time interns for a summer internship. This internship is compensated, and can give school credit if needed. Candidate should be a design student / recent graduate based in NYC for the summer, with the opportunity to continue into the school year.

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist designer with projects as needed
- Sample making - being able to work with your hands is a must!
- Tagging and packing pieces for stores and clients
- Manage shipping - preparing packages, coordinating UPS, etc.


Knowledge of beading, sewing, patternmaking or jewelry construction is a plus. We give full training on all of these techniques as a part of the internship.


Required - MS Office Suite
Preferred - Jewelry Making, Hand Knitting, Knitwear, Beading
