At Damn Handsome Grooming Co we partner with craft breweries to re-purpose their brewed ingredients into natural, healthy provisions for guys. These handsome handmade goods put beauty regimens aside and provide intoxicating grooming essentials for the modern man.
Our motto is damn simple: work hard, do good, stay handsome.
Must be prepared to complete 100 hours of work for each enrolled credit (student responsible for obtaining department approval), limit 300 hours.
ResponsibilitiesDuties + Responsibilities:
Any great internship lies at the cross-roads of the business’ needs and the intern’s strengths. This internship allows for flexibility and creativity in assigned projects. In addition, the intern will also be expected to:
-Assist with the production of all DHGC branding, digital design, print collateral and future branding collaborations
-Aid in the development of branding initiatives for DHGC and our partners (currently: Martha Stewart, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters, etc).
-Help with website enhancement and social collateral (including product photography, copy and redesign).
-Demonstrate ability to add value to creative “brain bubbles” and round table discussions
-Gain experience with budget tracking + initiate vendor negotiations as specifically related to printing samples and placing orders
-Gain experience in design for visual merchandise build-outs
-Demonstrate ability to prioritize competing demands and deadlines
-Grow personal portfolio with allotted time and DHGC resources
RequirementsQualifications + Required Experience:
-A great eye and instinct for trending aesthetics
-2+ years of experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Light Room
-Proficiency in Microsoft office
-Highly Motivated, resourceful, flexible and open-minded
-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
-Must be creative and professional
-Applicant must be a Junior or Senior and currently enrolled in in the Graphic Design program working toward a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts.
