DescriptionThe position is setup as a contract opportunity with the possibility of extending the contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure with a Fortune 500 industry leaderThe responsibility of this position is to support all graphic design aspects of assigned, print, display, collateral, web, e-mail and other marketing communication projects. The Graphic Designer will contribute to creative consistencies of all communication vehicles as well as bring strong concept, design, problem-solving and technical skills to the Creative Service team.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the Design Manager and Communications Manager in accomplishing graphic aspects of numerous projects through hands-on design with a Mac computer.
Produce inspiring designs from concept through finished art that are on brief with little art direction.
Perform print production to correctly prepare electronic artwork for direct release to printers or posting to web
Create quick layouts and templates as needed.
Update website and intranet as needed via content management system.
Effectively use design elements that visually communicate the desired message and develop new branding as needed to support the overall employee brand
Exhibit strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Effectively translate creative direction into effective visual communication.
Possess knowledge of photography / digital photography layout and direction.
Work individually and as part of a matrix team, including global teams.
Participate with teammates in brainstorming complex branding and marketing communication issues.
Work effectively, set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Requirements2+ years of graphic design experience on a Mac platform, with extensive experience in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop.
College degree in graphic arts or design related field, preferably BA or BS degree.
Working knowledge of all stages of graphic design from concept to production to print.
Strong understanding of HTML and CSS required, additional Web design and mobile experience a plus.
Advanced PPT and Word skills, with the ability to design presentations and templates.
SharePoint experience desired, but not required.
