DescriptionTrellis Home is a Design and Retail company which focuses on both residential and commercial spaces as well as operating a home décor showroom and online boutique, www.trellishome.com . We are searching for a creative, driven, and aspiring interior design student who also has an interest in retail merchandising. This intern position will be reporting to both co-Founders of Trellis Home, and will be located in our showroom/studio space in downtown Hingham, MA. We are looking for approximately 8-12 hours/week to start, unpaid, but for the right candidate this could potentially lead to more hours and a permanent position in the future. The position will help coordinate and track fabric samples and furniture orders, help with invoicing and office organization, as well as some help with the retail design aspect as it pertains to trunk shows, events, and the website. It is a unique experience, as it encompasses both the Design and Retail worlds!
This internship requires attention to detail, being pro-active and organized, the ability to communicate well with vendors and clients, and design skills that can help the co-founders with various Design projects. We are looking for someone who is positive, friendly, and flexible, and who can grow to be a part of our team!
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include: placing and tracking orders, helping maintain excel-based inventory records, obtaining fabric samples and pricing from vendors and/or showrooms at Boston Design Center, helping co-founders with design jobs and photo shoots, helping maintain items and information on the website (entering new products, revising pricing, etc), some help with social media, and general studio/showroom organization.
RequirementsMust have experience in Interior Design or Retail Merchandising or be a student in one of these fields.
