Description

Interior design Internship for luxury residential interiors.
Looking for an intern to assist in all aspects of interior design. Work directly with the designer/owner on high end design projects, mostly in lower manhattan.
Much of the work will be in the field or online research, presentation preparation and administrative tasks.
Will mentor and teach the fundamentals of designing and coordinating design projects.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, research and ground work for all of the following:
Travel to showroom to collect material samples such as, fabrics, wood, stone, tile, carpet etc...
Research for inspirational images to convey ideas clients, through online or magazine resources.
Data input: Create and update spread sheets/ project recaps with detailed information, i.e., finishinigs and furnishing details, dimensions, placement, cost, leed times, etc... Excel or Numbers.
Administrative follow up.
Computer drawings and renderings (based on skills).

Requirements

Must be an interior design major with a passion for design and luxury interiors.
Must be able to work remotely and in person.
Must be willing to run errands around the city, visit showrooms, collect samples, visit the D&D building etc....
Must have a basic knowledge of Micro Soft Excel or Apple Numbers.
Knowledge of drawing programs such as Google Sketchup, Apple Live Interior 3d or CAD are all a plus, but not required.
