DescriptionAlma & Co. has a dream opportunity for a Jewelry Designer Intern. A successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and skilled design student, an innovative creative thinker able to translate ideas and concepts into beautiful jewelry pieces. This position is part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
ResponsibilitiesThis role will help create and design a competitive product line that supports the brand’s aesthetics as well as its strategic and financial objectives as detailed in the product plan. During your internship you will work with the design team and creative director/ceo to assist in all aspects of design and product development process. You will be creating detailed product specs in Illustrator, sketching ideas, and assisting in sourcing materials. You will also be participating in reviewing development samples, communicate with manufacturing vendors and/or quality control samples. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, well organized and skilled design student to gain valuable industry and technical experience.
RequirementsStrong technical drawing abilities
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite
CAD skills a big plus
Experience in fabricating and assembling jewelry or accessories preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency
Must be able to bring laptop to internship. Must have reliable transportation and adhere to schedule commitments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate with various levels of management
Senior year or recent graduate preferred
