This internship is perfect for those just starting out in their web design careers and offers a chance to grow and hone your skills.
About Urban Gardens
Urban Gardens covers stories about urban style, design, and nature for an international highly-engaged blog and social media audience of over 240,000. The blog includes content in interior design, landscape design, architecture, sustainable design, urban agriculture, cutting edge products and new concepts, and travel.
ResponsibilitiesThis is an unpaid (remote, but if LA area even better) internship for Summer and Fall 2016 requiring a commitment to an agreed upon deadline. Possibility for college credit. You will work directly with Publisher / Creative Director and receive one-on-one instruction, supervision and feedback with the goal of creating a polished website for your portfolio.
RequirementsCandidate needs to provide portfolio/past work and meet these following requirements:
- 1+ year WordPress development experience or equivalent expertise
- Strong working knowledge of responsive design
- Some HTML and back-end development knowledge a plus
- Creative Suite: Photoshop
- Social media advertising experience (bonus)
SkillsRequired - WordPress, Responsive Web Design
Preferred - Adobe Photoshop, Basic HTML
