As a UX / UI intern on the Curiosity team, you could create an experience that people all over the world might enjoy…in your first week.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be passionate about all the ways one can learn on the web, a lover of all things interactive, familiar with the new media landscape and, most importantly, possess a strong drive to build something from nothing.

To succeed as a UX / UI intern at Curiosity, you will work to understand learners, their needs and how to create solutions for them to enjoy Curiosity. Most of the below abilities are expected upon starting; all will be expected after a certain period of time.

DESIGNING FOR USERS

- Design efficiently within Sketch (preferred), OmniGraffle or Adobe CC
- Mock up interactive experiences at both the lo-fi and hi-fi level
- Familiarity with best UI design principles (https://www.goodui.org/ for example).
- Knowledge of visual hierarchy and information architecture
- Rapid prototyping with tools like Flinto, Principle, or FramerJS
- Knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Google/Android Material Design
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY

- Present ideas and rationale clearly in-person and written form.
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Organize your workflow, source files, reference materials with detail.
- Drive to understand what is/isn’t technically rational to build
