Description

This is an unpaid internship but is available for college credit if needed.

Beans Agency is a start-up marketing agency looking for a web designer who can create and design amazing looking and functioning websites. Must be able to collaborate and create compelling, efficient and accessible web pages. The Intern’s duties will encompass all aspects of design, from start up (design, functionality, coding, mark-up writing, and testing). The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding and design. The Web Design Intern will create a site or pages, this includes the design, layout and coding, this can mean working on a brand new website or updating an already existing site.

Ability to work up to approximately 20-25 hours per week (schedule is flexible). This position is virtual/remote.

Responsibilities

Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Concept and execute across a full range of screen sizes and digital touch points, including e-mail campaigns, landing pages, icons, social media assets, promotional banners, online advertising campaigns, etc.
Perform maintenance and updates to existing web sites, including content updates and error correction.
Direct retouching, color calibration, and digital optimization of images for presentation on the web.
Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages including html, Javascript and others
Producing products that are user-friendly, effective and appealing

Requirements

Imagination
Creativity
Proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver or other code text editor, Acrobat and Mac OS.
Ability to create and edit HTML and CSS.
Ability to efficiently multi-task, proficient organizational and time management skills.
Must be self-motivated, a problem-solver, and organized.
