Founded by Brandie Gehan, B by Brandie is an upstart online tabletop retailer specializing in custom-made home products designed by Brandie herself. Selling items such as dinnerware, flatware, and glassware, B by Brandie targets its tabletop and home accessories to affluent female household members aged 26-45 years.
B by Brandie is looking for a Web Coding/Designing Intern to edit and update the company website and website functionalities. The web coder will need to be up to date and knowledgeable on coding strategies and is familiar with Magento eCommerce Platform . Responsibilities include modifying current computer/website programs, troubleshooting performance issues and re-writing code to fix problems. The intern may also be expected to help out on other day-to-day projects that arise, such as a website design, email implementation, ect.
ResponsibilitiesArtistic and creative
Able to develop website layouts and landing pages
Proficient with PHP and Photoshop
Create tableless layouts using CSS, with graceful browser degradation
Be organized and able to meet tight deadlines
Be familiar with SEO and accessibility practices, and be able to implement them on existing websites
Knowledge of the coding of responsive websites
Create a CSS stylesheet from scratch
RequirementsCreative, with a good eye for design and web layouts
At least 1 year of website development/coding experience
Currently seeking a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
Basic understanding of object-oriented coding; version/source control, bug tracking, and workflow applications/tools
