DescriptionPrisoner Assistant is a financial concierge company designed exclusively for prisoners. It is the first and only company of its kind. Prisoner Assistant strives to be the leader in Rehabilitation and Re-entry planning services for those incarcerated in the United States. We go well beyond the traditional approach of theoretical education and marginal preparation. We empower the prisoner, and allow them to take control of the direction of their life. We give them real world tools that are essential in their efforts at meaningful preparation for their eventual release, as well as stability for continued success in society.
We are looking for interns who are interested in the following areas:
Marketing and Advertising
Website Development and Optimization
Media Communications and Technology
Creative or Technical Writing
We are currently in the beginning phase of an aggressive, multilayered two year marketing and advertising campaign, for the purpose of national exposure and positioning as the premier Rehabilitation and Re-entry service for prisoners. We need assistance in building a social presence for the company through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs, writing reviews, press releases, ghost writing etc., as well as website optimization, development, proofreading and development of marketing material etc. Our goals also include developing Adult Continuing Education courses in banking, credit development, business development and prisoner rehabilitation & re-entry. We are looking for creative, ambitious individuals that would like to participate in the growth of Prisoner Assistant.
This is a unpaid volunteer internship position that, for the right candidate, may lead to a part time/full time position as an Executive Assistant. We are open to creativity in accomplishing our goals. You must commit to a regular schedule, from 15-20 hours per week, for at least a 90 day period to be evaluated for employment. Lesser periods of time for individual projects, that can be done remotely, will also be considered.

ResponsibilitiesThe position we offer is unique and requires good typing, excellent online research skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office programs. It requires an education beyond high school level and some experience in or understanding of a professional office setting. This position also requires very strong internet and computer skills. Any training in graphic design or an understanding of how banking and credit works would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is responsible, dependable, self motivated and can work with minimal supervision. We require that the person has good judgment and the capability to maintain confidentiality. They need to be able to multitask, work quickly with an eye for detail. They must be organized and use effective time management. We need someone who is articulate with good written and oral communication skills. A person who can work under pressure, meet deadlines and who is comfortable with a time based billable system. We need quick thinkers and learners who have common sense and are able to solve problems using creative solutions.
