Description

Job Description: The Events and Development Coordinator provides administrative support fund raising and development related events and tasks. The Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director to implement all aspects of the Resource Development Plan. The Coordinator assists with fund raising activities including fund drives, major gifts program, donor relations, fund raising events, and other fund development activities. Position provides administrative support for donor database, mailings, acknowledgments, and recognition. Position assists with donor recruitment, cultivation, retention, stewardship and appreciation and related Board and staff training. The Coordinator also assists with messaging and communications strategies, including marketing, public relations and social media related to development and fund raising efforts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement annual fundraising plan
• Research grants and new foundations to request funding
• Secure funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations
• Assist with filing, data entry, and gift processing
• Maintain steady relationships with major donors
• Assist with organization of special events
• Track proposals and reports for fundraising
• Update invites and send out invites through mail, email, and by phone
• Assist with event and activity planning
• Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of event

Requirements

Requirements:
• B.A. required, M.A. preferred
• Able to work for a year
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in event planning and public relations
• Possess positive outlook and strong dedication
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Needs to be able to work flexible hours
