Operation ASHA in New Delhi, India has several 1-year fellowship opportunities open for students/alumni based in our New Delhi offices.
Operation ASHA’s mission is to eliminate tuberculosis among disadvantaged communities. We do this by providing treatment, counseling, education, and supportive services to tuberculosis patients in the communities where we work. We also implement awareness and preventive measures to prevent tuberculosis in these communities. In addition, we seek to build capacity among governments, public health organizations and other NGOs to adopt and implement our best practices.
OUR GOAL
Operation ASHA’s goal is to make TB treatment available to the most disadvantaged patients. We do this through focusing on patient convenience, community mobilization, and comprehensive counseling. Our management information systems include continuous monitoring and rigorous reporting.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking to add an additional member to our Development team. Duties will include the following:
Researching and writing grants; Talking and meeting with donors; scheduling and attending conferences; marketing the organization to potential donors; social media and blogging; materials development; and assisting the co-founders in numerous duties.
Each member of the Development team works on a variety of tasks on a daily basis. Each day will not be the same and you will be learning everything there is to know about a growing organization. The team is constantly involved in all aspects of the company.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of five years experience in the public or corporate sector. This individual must have a passion for public service, be able to adapt to a developing country and work in a limited resource environment.
The position requires a one-year commitment.
