Description

The Children's Museum of Richmond, a not-for-profit organization, exists to create innovative learning experiences for all children and those who support them that inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers.

The Development/Fundraising Intern will assist the Development Coordinator and the Vice President of Mission of a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities

“The Development department is responsible for fundraising for the museum’s annual fund and scholarship fund. The intern will assist the development coordinator and the mission team with fundraising projects, donor relationships, and administrative duties. Some specific projects will include: helping prepare for and execute fundraising events, prepare individual mailing solicitations, research new funding opportunities for the museum, research funding trends in the nonprofit sector, assist with boards and committees to gain an understanding of nonprofit governance.”
