DescriptionAt Ideasmyth, interns will have a chance to develop strong communication and professional skills to give them a competitive advantage in the workforce. Interns will receive (1) valuable experience in all aspects of entrepreneurial business development, (2) personal mentorship to help them achieve their career goals, (3) numerous networking and career advancing opportunities, and (4) depending on skills and performance, the possibility for work commissions. While this is initially an unpaid internship for at least the first 3 months, it is designed to be an educational and career-advancing experience where interns will be doing meaningful work and advance their careers and every effort will be made to reward superior performance.
Although it is an unpaid internship, there are opportunities for bonuses, commissions, and paid travel.
The Business Development/Marketing Intern will create and assist in the implementation of a comprehensive business plan for Ideasmyth. The intern will be in correspondence with the Owner and Project Manager to dialogue about said business plan.
Intern Responsibilities include:
Develop strategies on how to place Ideasmyth in the market
Create methods to differentiate Ideasmyth from competitors
Collaborate with the Events Producer on marketing for Ideasmyth events
Attend weekly staff meetings (virtually or in-person)
Participate in quarterly evaluations with the Project Manager
Contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Ideasmyth through your involvement in research, writing and some editing
Requirements• Ability to commit to 15 to 20 hours per week for 6 months
• Ability to efficiently work from home & also attend weekly meetings in Manhattan
