DescriptionKHORIKOS, New York City's most innovative a cappella ensemble is looking for a
Management and Development intern to join their team.
This position is a unique opportunity to gain work experience at one of NYC’s newest non-profit
cultural groups. This is a mentoring opportunity with both the Executive Director (ED) and other
Management and Development Intern
This position requires a candidate with the aptitude and flexibility to accomplish a wide variety of
tasks. From marketing and PR to accounting and fundraising; the intern will acquire a full spectrum
of non-profit development and management skills. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Salesforce
will be acquired, as well as extensive use of social media platforms for concert production and
marketing, as well as on-site concert production.
We are looking for a candidate with strong writing skills to assist with writing press releases and
possibly grant proposals. This is a long-term position with a minimum commitment until Fall 2014.
KHORIKOS is one of New York City's most distinguished a cappella ensembles, performing a
wide range of musical works from medieval polyphony to contemporary sound sculpture. We are
taking the lead in re-inventing classical music by engaging in unique collaborations with artists
of other genres, including film and dance, and by performing in traditional and non-traditional
venues. KHORIKOS performances have been described as other-worldly, powerful and cutting-
edge. A fresh take on an age-old art form, KHORIKOS is an experience, not just an ensemble.
KHORIKOS is a project of Dorian Artists Corporation (DAC) a 501(c)(3) organization.
Some work can be done remotely, though several events will be held on location, TBD.
