Description

Are you a current student or a recent graduate with experience with PHP? Do you want to help develop cutting-edge e-commerce web, mobile and social applications using PHP for companies all over the world? Are you detail-oriented, honest, hard-working and dedicated to seeing projects succeed? If so, you are the PHP development intern we're looking for!

We're an e-commerce development and consulting firm located in Richardson, Texas. We're growing fast - we're small enough that each individual on our team has their voice heard and a role in guiding our success, but large enough that we offer great benefits and have lots of fun here in the office. We've been featured on the Bloomberg financial channel and on every major broadcast news network for our strong company culture and fast growth - we're poised to take the Inc 500 list of the fastest growing companies in the US by storm.

Our Core Values are Honesty & Trust; Positive Attitude & Fun Environment; Respect & Empathy; Family, Friendship & Loyalty; Responsibility & Honor; Always Learning, Innovating & Sharing Knowledge; Constantly Improving; Cooperation & Collaboration. We live and breathe these values every day - we've built our team around these values, so we're looking for people who are excited to support those values and become a part of our team. Read more about our core values at http://creatuity.com/about/core-values/

This is a full-time position, located in our offices at 100 N Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas. Work-life balance is important to us, so we make it a point that no one works over the weekends. We offer some flexibility in work schedules - as long as your schedule totals to 40 hours/week, we can generally accomodate your preferences and needs for when you start your work day each day.

As Loyalty is one of our core values, we greatly prefer to promote from within - so if you're interested in growing into a full-time, permanent position as a PHP developer or even eventually going into project management or a development team lead position, those opportunities are ready and waiting for the right candidates!

Responsibilities

As a PHP Development Intern, you will be responsible for quality assurance (reviewing PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript written by your fellow developers on our team and ensuring it meets our code standards and functions as the client has requested), developing new features on our own internal projects, deploying items into production once they pass quality assurance and helping us all constantly improve our development skills.

Requirements

We work primarily in PHP, and use the Git version control system. A majority of our projects are based on the Magento e-commerce platform (http://magento.com), but we also work with WordPress (http://wordpress.org/) and the Yii Framework (http://www.yiiframework.com/). If you've worked with any of these platforms before, please make sure to list this in your cover letter or on your resume. You must have PHP experience in order to be considered for this position, but the other skills can be trained during your internship.
