DescriptionJHL Company interns play an important role in supporting client teams and on internal projects and events. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of accounts learning the basics of fundraising, event management, stakeholder relations, public affairs, and research.
ResponsibilitiesInterns will gain an understanding of client research, event coordination, and fundraising strategy. They will have the opportunity to interact with various client representatives, members, sponsors, vendors, and other organization contacts who work with JHL Company to help meet all client goals. Specific tasks include implementing preparations for upcoming events and supporting onsite event needs, researching client development opportunities, contributing to fundraising projects and assisting with general clerical responsibilities.
RequirementsJHL Company is seeking someone with strong written and verbal skill. Organizational skills, an acute attention to detail, and proper phone etiquette are imperative. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, internet, and Outlook are required.
Upper-Level undergraduate students with the ability to work approximately 20 hours a week at the JHL Company office in Austin, Texas, located downtown. (Can be completed for course credit)
