Disruptive education technology (LMS and CMS) platform is seeking development and design interns to work in a dynamic start-up environment with a small team. We want you to learn, have fun, contribute to something great, and because this is a systems designed by students for students, you will have many opportunities to contribute and take ownership over your work.

Job Descriptions:

(1) DEVELOPMENT INTERN
Seeking a development intern (front-end and/or back-end) to help build out a web and mobile platform. Proficiency in Android and iOS (Swift) programming is a plus. The development intern will work closely with the head of development, and the design and integration teams to enhance functionality of the platform.

Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, Swift preferred
• Knowledge of back-end development processes preferred
• Ability to work at least 2-3 days per week (Weekends may be an option if desired)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as you may be asked to coordinate projects with a lead technical engineer in San Francisco
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or similar

(1) DESIGN INTERN
Seeking a skilled graphic and web design intern to assist in look-and-feel of a web and mobile platform. The design intern will work closely with the head of design and front end developers in creating design elements to enhance UI/UX.

Requirements:
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of front-end and back-end languages preferred
• Ability to work 2-3 days per week (weekends may be an option if desired)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in design

We seek highly-motivated interns with a desire to work in a hands-on start-up environment with a close-knit team. You will be working directly with founding partners on a daily basis and will attend meetings, come to events, and learn about the design, business, and legal elements of developing a start-up platform.

Responsibilities

The development intern will work under the direct supervision of the head of front-end development and alongside the UI/UX and design teams to bring design mock-ups to life and fully integrate with back-end programming. The development intern will bring his/her working knowledge of development languages and design to a lean start-up environment where (s)he will learn what it takes to build a start-up business in the education technology space. The managing partners will oversee the day-to-day work, and interns will have opportunities for considerable independence and input. Interns will also be provided with educational opportunities to learn about the business and legal elements of a start-up, will attend meetings, and may be invited to events and classroom sessions at local universities.
