DescriptionLOGAN Hope is a Christ-centered K-8 school that provides rigorous, holistic education for under-resourced students in the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia. We seek to transform our community by equipping our students for academic success through character and leadership development.
Currently, Cambodians make up the poorest demographic in Philadelphia, have a 70% high school dropout rate, and the lowest college attendance rate of any ethnic group in America. As a response to these alarming statistics, the three primary services LOGAN Hope offers are an alternative street school for grades K-8, an after-school program, and a summer day camp.
We are searching for a Development Associate to help raise money for the school, for our new building, and increase our donor outreach.
ResponsibilitiesThe development associate can be expected to do the following:
- Raise money for the school
- Meeting with donors and potential donors frequently to increase our relationships.
- Plan events, occasionally, that will help to continue to build that relationship with our donors.
- Continue to build and maintain relationships with potential donors and business partners
RequirementsIn order to be considered for this position, the applicant must have a passion for seeing change in the community and being a part of that change. You must have a college degree and/or experience raising money, networking, and building relationships with business partnerships and donors. You also must have grant-writing experience.
Experience working with students is not required, but is preferred.
