DescriptionLA based film production and development company seeks film literate individuals to help read and assess screenplays. We will also train the selected successful candidates to breakdown and analyse scripts in detail, this being a very marketable skill.
The position also includes researching and participating in film packaging, (which covers dealing with agents, actors, directors, distributors, financing entities etc. in Europe and the US) as well as participating in some academic research on the various elements that make Hollywood work
With our help previous interns have gone on to various jobs in the film and TV industry.
As you work from home you need to be self-motivated and able to stick to deadlines. You are assigned about 5 hours of work a day.
Excelling in this position could lead to a job for a motivated candidate.
ResponsibilitiesFirst of all you will be taught in great detail how to analyse scripts, what makes them work, what not.
We have over 12 years of studio experience and use their analytical tools.
Then you will be given a number of scripts and shown how to produce professional studio coverage as well as detailed development notes that will help writers ace their re-writes.
Both of these being highly marketable skills in the industry.

RequirementsMinimum of a B.A. in something that involves writing essays.
Need to have a native command of the English language.
It is crucial that you be able to read and deconstruct highly complex texts in idiomatically correct english.
Film literacy a must. If the last movie you saw was Titanic, this is not for you.
Interest in film development, packaging and production also a plus.
