Description

CHAT (Culture of Health - Advancing Together) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The mission of CHAT is to improve the health and wellbeing of immigrant and refugee women and youth by reducing the isolation and disconnect so they feel safe and happy in their homes. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced individual to be its Events Coordinator. This position will be responsible for assisting in the fundraising efforts of the organization with event planning, graphic design and marketing of special events. The Events Coordinator will help support and achieve the organization’s annual operations budget, strategic plan and mission. Specific fundraising goals are tied to the events.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of fundraising events, including the organization’s annual Gala, its largest fundraising event, VIP donor events and Year-End Appeal
Develop event timelines to include all key milestones to be achieved and ensure timely completion of those milestones while meeting marketing budgets
Manage events from conception to conclusion: venue logistics, invitations, sponsorships, volunteer support, materials/supplies and marketing/advertising
Develop content and graphics for departmental events and campaigns
Create and produce marketing materials for fundraising events (websites, invitations, programs, signs, etc.)
Manage and coordinate departmental communication for on-going events through email blasts, social media and bi-monthly newsletter
Identify and research honorees, event leadership and donor prospects specific to each fundraising event or gala
Work closely with event honorees and event leadership to develop and implement a fundraising plan, target donor prospects and incorporate their ideas for event elements
Assist with securing auction items for annual fundraising events by following up with potential donors and lead the auction set-up at the event
Other departmental support responsibilities as needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and experience in special events planning, graphics and marketing
Event, communication, marketing and graphic experience desirable
Possess superb organizational skills
Be creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to high standards of quality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Non-profit experience a plus with working knowledge of fundraising best practices
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for Refugees and vulnerable population
