DescriptionA Mile In My Shoes, Inc. (AMIMS) is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to use the arts as a platform to address a diverse array of modern, social issues. By creating a compelling and engaging series of concerts, theatre productions, films, talks, and forums each addressing a social issue, we aim to motivate our audiences to action.
AMIMS is seeking fundraising and marketing interns for the fall. The fundraising and marketing internship is an incredible opportunity to work with experienced theater, music and film professionals while also offering hands-on experience fundraising and marketing a variety of artistic events.
This internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. Our interns will work remotely from home but will be required to attend weekly staff meetings and all productions.
ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing and Development intern will be responsible for the following:
• Supporting the founder in the preparation of all fundraising materials (Cover Letters, Grant Proposals, Funding Reports, Announcements, etc.)
• Managing the company schedule (Rehearsals, Meetings, Proposal Deadlines, etc.)
• Creating and managing the database of funding and promotional contacts
• Assisting the founder in coordinating all marketing, advertising and promotional material
• Updating AMIMS social media pages
The ideal intern will desire a well-rounded, hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing and fundraising. This internship requires great attention to detail but also the ability to lead and think creatively.
