Organizational Overview:
Headquartered in Berea, Working Animals Giving Service 4 Kids is a non profit dedicated to
training and placing mobility service and autism spectrum service dogs to children with
disabilities in Northeast Ohio. W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is the charity that Cleveland grew. Awarded your
2015 Cleveland Scene Magazine Readers’ Choice Best Charity. All dogs are trained at Grafton
Correctional Institution in Grafton, OH by a select group of inmates as part of our Award
Winning Accredited Apprenticeship Service Dog Training Program. W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is driven by
our belief in early intervention and in the power of that special bond between a child and a dog.
We work with a family as early in a child’s life as there is a need and an interest. W.A.G.S.’ core
programs build on a child’s strengths by enhancing mobility skills, increasing a child's
confidence, building on existing physical and other therapies, promoting positive communication
and interaction within and between families, reducing isolation and promoting independence.
