DescriptionA Mile In My Shoes, Inc. (AMIMS) is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to use the arts as a platform to address a diverse array of modern, social issues. By creating a compelling and engaging series of concerts, theater productions, films, talks, and forums each addressing a social issue, we aim to motivate our audiences to action.
AMIMS is seeking fundraising and marketing interns for the fall. The fundraising and marketing internship is an incredible opportunity to work with experienced theater, music and film professionals while also offering hands-on experience fundraising and marketing a variety of artistic events.
This internship requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. Our interns will work remotely from home but will be required to attend weekly one-on-one meetings with the Artistic Director and all AMIMS productions. AMIMS will work with the intern to ensure that the experience is aligned with their coursework and career goals.
We offer a $20 weekly travel stipend for in-person meetings.
ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing and Development intern will be responsible for the following:
• Supporting the development consultant in the preparation of fundraising materials (Cover Letters, Proposals, Reports, etc.)
• Managing the company calendar (Rehearsals, Meetings, Proposal Deadlines, etc.)
• Researching new foundation and corporate prospects
• Assisting with the coordination of marketing and promotional material (press releases, e-blasts, etc.)
• Updating AMIMS social media pages
The ideal intern will desire a well-rounded, hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing, and fundraising. This internship requires great attention to detail but also the ability to think creatively.
