DescriptionAddis Ideas is a revolutionary mobile application that crowd sources African development ideas from African nationals and the African diaspora. Users submit their project ideas into a live feed, where they instantly receive feedback from other users, and generate public support and private sponsorship.
The ultimate goal of Addis Ideas is to promote information sharing, enhance public participation in development, and create a collaborative workspace for Africans who want to improve the communities around them. We are currently looking for skilled, versatile, and energetic professionals to help get our start-up off the ground.
Responsibilities-Develop social media campaigns that help users understand the functionality of Addis Ideas, while maintaining the company’s vision and brand
-Spearhead fundraising efforts alongside other team members in our marketing arm
-Attend bi-weekly team meetings and weekly marketing brainstorming sessions
-Compose and manage press releases, blog posts, and newsletters
-Deliver content on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or email
Requirements-Undergrad/Grad students in all majors are welcome to apply, though MBA students are preferred
-Familiarity with tech ecosystem
-Ability to quickly adapt and overcome obstacles
-Strong presentation skills
-Passion for and well versed in international development
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Extremely responsive and dedicated
-Availability to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week
