Hamilton Development Partners is a full-service Public Relations & Government Strategies Firm with over seventy-five years of combined experience in both the public and private sectors. With numerous successful Economic Development Projects to our credit and millions of dollars in government subsidies and grant funding procured, we have the experience and insights to make your development plan a reality.

The Economic Development Internship is a unique, new position with the firm. The intern will work exclusively on projects related to the firm's public-private partnership and economic development clients.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for College Students to gain valuable experience working on cutting-edge real estate development projects while developing skills necessary for success in both the public and private sector.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities for Economic Development Interns will be:

Collaborate with the Hamilton Development Team in the planning & implementation of Economic Development programs for our public and private sector clients; coordinate meetings with key public and private stakeholders, including scheduling, research, and appropriate follow-up; research and prepare memos on assigned topics; other tasks as assigned.

This is the perfect opportunity for a proactive, motivated college student to build an excellent network while acquiring and developing the skills necessary to succeed in either the public or private sector.

Requirements

Interns should have flexible schedules, a desire to be involved in the political process, and a strong work ethic. Interns for the Economic Development Internship should have excellent research skills, a basic understanding of commonly-used economic development tools, and a desire to be intimately involved in the Economic Development process for major clients.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to balance keen understanding and vision of the client's goals and the firm's strategies with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to pursuing them. Essential qualifications include: superior oral and written communications skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent telephone manner, and basic computer skills.
