DescriptionOur consulting team seeks and intern to assist in the economic analysis and development of a formula to measure primary and secondary economic impact of a sub-sector of tourism on a community.
ResponsibilitiesMust be currently enrolled in college, junior or senior who needs an internship for college credit.
• Must be currently enrolled in one of the above-mentioned programs at an affiliated and accredited Colorado college or university
• Students must be in good standing.
• Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (B Average) on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be able to work in a professional office setting and telecommute.
• Excellent research, analytical, grammar, and writing skills are required.
• Must have Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Adobe Acrobat skills.
• Two non-academic writing samples will be reviewed.
• Must speak, read and write English fluently. Spanish, Turkish, Mandarin, French, German, or Russian language fluency is a plus.
RequirementsResponsibilities will include being proactive with culturally sensitive approaches, new ideas, collaborating and building relationships with internal and external customers. You will apply an existing accepted concept and measurement process to a new domain. This includes the process of gathering required data and presenting the research in publishable form. An existing acumen with medical terminology and or tourism is helpful.
This position requires weekly reports presented during senior staff meetings, leading web-based presentations, and using interpersonal skills and occasionally providing assistance to other colleagues, country managers and interns on the team. This role also interacts with the international public, media, and foreign government agencies.
The intern will learn the economic aspects and impact measurement methods of the tourism industry. This is a great opportunity for an intern to learn about tourism and econometric research, while being mentored by industry thought leaders and consultants. Qualified candidates are excellent writers, organized, capable of multi-tasking and confident presenting information by phone.
Candidate should be comfortable with small and large group presentations to represent Mercury Healthcare to hospital executives, government representatives and healthcare professionals using an approved slide deck, multimedia tools and printed collateral.
You should have some understanding of healthcare delivery and administration, but we can teach you this once you have been selected for the internship.
You must be of age to execute a nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement and the integrity to uphold it. You must have a passport and be able to travel outside the United States.
