Dates: This internship is offered year-round.
Education and Aquarist interns assist in all aspects of running the Exploration Center, including visitor relations, programming, and care of the aquarium animals.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with the education of school groups and visitors
Provide hands-on educational programming
Greet visitors, take admissions and sell merchandise
Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the aquaria, and the care and feeding of the animals
Assist with promotion and outreach at local beaches, businesses and shopping areas
RequirementsApplicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university during the term of your internship. Graduate students, recent college graduates and individuals looking to fill an employment gap are also eligible for internship opportunities. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher out of 4.0. Must work a minimum of 14 hours per week including one weekend day per week, undergo a criminal background check, have reliable transportation, and arrive for their shifts promptly and in uniform (provided by Save The Bay).

Have a strong interest in maintaining and cleaning aquarium tanks (experience preferred)
Interested in or have basic knowledge of small marine animal feeding techniques
