About the Wylde Center
The Wylde Center connects students of all ages to their environment, health, and community as
they dig into our programs focused on urban agriculture, health and nutrition, and environmental
awareness. As students explore our four urban greenspaces through our hands-on Education
Program, they not only learn the science of how the world works – they also learn how to care
for it through stewardship, agriculture, and personal wellness, while also learning teamwork,
responsibility. Public education classes and outreach complement these K-12 programs, giving
the whole community the opportunity to learn and grow in our gardens.
About the Internship
The Environmental Education Intern will work closely with the Education Program Manager to
promote, deliver, and develop all aspects of the Education Program, including but not limited to
Farm to School, Garden to Classroom, Wylde Center field trips, and our outreach and afterschool
programs. For these programs, responsibilities may include but are not limited to: researching
and developing curricula for K-12 garden-based and environmental education classes, as tied to
local and state learning objectives; preparing lesson materials and assisting with teaching classes;
creating promotional content and materials to advertise the Wylde Center through our
newsletters, website, and blog; curriculum research and development; compiling data on
program success to recommend future action; and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the

? Experience working with children.
? Responsible, committed, self-motivated, and organized.
? Ideal candidates will have some daytime availability to assist with teaching classes.
? Good computer skills, including MS Office suite. WordPress experience a plus.
? Models positive behavior and attitude under pressure and willing to try new things.
? Comfortable working outside in inclement conditions – heat, rain, insects, etc.
? First Aid and CPR a plus
