Job Location: West Hollywood, CA
Supervisor: Senior Online Programs Manager
The Trevor Project is looking for an Online Programs Intern to work with the Online Programs Managers. Position will learn and work in the day-to-day management and operational coordination of online crisis services programs, along with the implementation of new online suicide prevention programming. The purpose of the internship experience is to gain valuable knowledge while being in and around clinical crisis workers and counselors at non-profit organization.
•Assist in scheduling and organizing volunteers who respond to youth in crisis.
•Help to set up volunteer trainings, including workshop preparation, logistics and wrap-up.
•Coordinate In-Service meetings for volunteers.
•Assist in monitoring of volunteers.
•Review the process of responding to Ask Trevor letters from youth in crisis.
•Research best practices in other online crisis programs and provide this information to the digital team.
•Help to coordinate the flow of letters coming in from youth and manage response time from volunteers.
•Analyze program data and provide recommendations for more effective program administration.
•Other duties as assigned.
•High School Diploma or equivalent required; must currently be in college or be eligible for credit through extension program
•Experience in the non-profit sector preferred
•Must be able to work independently
•Must have strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
•Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel
•Must have the ability to work under time constraints
•Must be well organized and have good attention to detail
•Must be able to handle multiple tasks
•Friendly and outgoing personality, enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork
