DescriptionNorth Star provides "strengths based" services based on evidenced brain-based educational research for ages 3-35. Services: Academic/Life/Social Coaching, Subject specific tutoring, Neuro-developmental/psycho-educational assessments, Transition. College and Career services, and Consultation Parents/Schools/Agencies. Programs:
NorthBridge: Grades 4-12 Full, part-time or temporary academic services for students seeking an individualized education opportunity. Psychological and small group social opportunities with project based learning available.
PREP: Ages 18-25. College and Career Prepatory Programs for students with Transition goals for Independent Living, Post secondary education or vocational or professional career track. PREP is appropriate for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Non-verbal Learnng Disability or other social communication/executive function challenges.
The Candidate will work as part of the professional, seasoned staff in PREP and NorthBridge.
Full or part-time positions available.
Academic/Social support at North Star, college settings and internship sites working with an exceptional staff of educators, psychologists, vocational counselor and counselor/coaches.
Minimum completed two -years of College in Education, Psychology, Counseling or Social Work
Experience: Work with students on a middle-school or high school level, Work with students with ASD or a other learning/social challenges.
