Description

The Casa de la Esperanza program was initiated to serve the 100+ children and youth living on site. The program responds to the unique needs of the dozens of farm workers families. Casa de la Esperanza's educational center is a state of the art learning center providing opportunities and resources toward excellence and self-empowerment through collaboration and programming that nurture each individual’s potential. Our vision is one of a thriving self-sustaining community sharing wisdom to transform society through today and tomorrow’s leaders, honoring those who came before us.
Duties and Responsibilities are to promote and support math, literacy, other content areas including access to higher education, by tutoring kids afterschool.

Responsibilities

Tutor and mentor children. Monitor progress of each child. Communicate with parents and school staff. Complete mandatory trainings.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements: Age 15 or older, reliable transportation or able to use public transportation. Volunteers must commit to at least 2 hours a day, once a week.
