DescriptionThe Maryland Agricultural Resource Council (MARC) is a non-profit organization. Our mission is agricultural education. We provide events, programs, and workshops for the public on 149 acres. An education internship is available during the fall, spring, and/or summer. Hours are flexible. Occasional evening or Saturday/Sunday would be required. This is a non-paid internship. We are located at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center and Farm Park. Half of your time would be spent working in the office creating lesson plans and the other half would be teaching out on the farm. Ages would range from preschool to high school. Responsibilities- Help with our Sprouts program (Ages 0-5)
-Coordinate our summer farm camps
- Assist with School's Day Out programs
- Scout programs and projects
- School field trips
-Occasional off-site lessons needed
Requirements- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in education - agricultural education or environmental science is a plus
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess creativity and flexibility.
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
