DescriptionGateway Learning Group, Inc. is a California certified Non-Public Agency. We provide intensive behavioral intervention, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), services to young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition, our staff provides behavior consultation to families and school district personnel related to structuring the home/school environment, developing behavior intervention plans, facilitating social interactions, teaching communication skills, promoting independence and the use of visual supports. Gateway is looking for fun, energetic, and motivated interns for positions with clients in the San Francisco area.
This position is a great way for psychology and education majors to gain experience working with children. Interns will gain knowledge in individual intervention, Applied Behavior Analysis, data collection, data interpretation, and more!
Part-time and full-time positions available. Training is provided. Mileage reimbursement, monthly stipend for indirect work, and paid time off (sick/vacation) for all staff.
On-going supervision provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Excellent opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities- Implement ABA programs for children with autism in home and school settings
- Take accurate behavioral data and input into graphs
- Communicate regularly with supervisor of each case/respond to emails within 24 hours
Requirements- Candidates must have completed at least two years of college coursework.
- Candidates must be available a minimum of 6 hours per week in the afternoons or afternoons and weekends.
- Candidates must be willing to commit to the internship for 6 months or more.
- Experience working with children preferred
