24/7 Teach is seeking interns and fellows to serve on our Instructional Design and Delivery (IDD) team who share our passion for technology, education, and entrepreneurship.
We are an education technology startup dedicated to making quality education accessible 24/7. We are focused on combining technology, great teachers, access, and passion for human development into a sustainable business. Interns and fellows will have the opportunity to engage in the design and delivery of our digital learning programs and help change the way students learn.
Our team is 100% remote so this internship/fellowship can be completed from any location and is part-time.
Internships are open to students enrolled in an Instructional Technology or Instructional/Curriculum Design program and are looking for an internship to fulfill their school requirement.
Commitment is for 150 hours (unless more time required by school) in a 90-day cycle for 12-15 hours per week, including team and company meetings, but excluding time with mentor. Four rotations are available with the next one starting September to December 2015 (Fall Rotation), followed by December 2015 to March 2016 (Winter Rotation).
Please note that the internship is an unpaid opportunity. You will be working on two projects: one for 24/7 Teach, as your springboard to learn how to develop online curriculum, and one based on your own interests. There is potential to earn residual income from your personal curriculum project.
Build relationships with specific partners at all levels -- from tutors to academic and administrative leadership
Help influence 24/7 Teach's strategy and instructional content
Work on different projects that promote quality instruction and assessment
RequirementsQualifications, Skills, and Education:
Experience with Google Docs, MS Office, LMS, instructional technology
Academic training, degree with a focus in instructional content areas, education, education technology
Previous teaching or tutoring experience required
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to set priorities, manage expectations, and time management
A positive, team player who can roll up their sleeves and wear multiple hats in a startup environment
Interest in educational technologies, innovative business models, and digitization of education a plus
For interns only: proof of current enrollment in MA/MEd program required
