A grassroots/community based organization is seeking a part-time professional, community oriented GED instructor for youth educational enrichment program. If this is you, keep reading!

To deliver a curriculum to students interested in achieving a GED or employment and post-secondary education. Instructor will provide reading and math literacy training pertaining to the manufacturing, construction, hospitality management and culinary arts job sectors. Works with each student on reading, writing and math with a heavy emphasis on math. Instructor will use the TABE test for a pre and post-test evaluation. Instructor will be responsible to raise reading and math levels for each student.

Preferred Qualities:
-Background/experience in instruction, education or development; special emphasis on teaching math and reading
-Ability to teach curriculum to multiple types and levels of learners
-Some college credits, or currently enrolled in college
-Familiarity working with “at-risk, high opportunity” youth, adult learners and able to do so with empathy and compassion
-Reliable transpiration
